Accessibility Congress Centre from airport

  • By (flix)bus (departure: 1x per hour – duration: 25 minutes): Line Gothenburg (Nils Ericson Terminalen) runs direct (non-stop) from the airport to the entrance of the SECC/Gothia Towers. Get off the bus at the Gothenburg Korsvägen stop and cross the street. There are many options to book your bus ticket. Here, you can find an overview of all booking options. This step-by-step guide helps you find your way around and book your ticket online, via the App, in a FlixShop, through Google Assistant or on the bus.
  • By car/taxi (duration: 25 minutes): Distance from/to the airport is approx. 15km. Note that these estimations are based on toll roads.

App: Your smart congress companion

Download the EAU Association App for free in the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). The UROonco23 Event in the App will become available on 30 May 2023 and is the easiest way to navigate the meeting and provides instant access to key information. Browse the scientific programme and create your personal programme using the planner. Offline use of the App is possible.


Catering

Coffee breaks and lunch will take place in the exhibition area.


Certificate of Attendance

As of Wednesday, 5 July 2023, you can download your certificate of attendance via your MyEAU account. Log in and you will see the main menu on the left side of your screen. Click on “Events” and select “Certificates” from the drop-down menu. Before obtaining your certificate, you will be requested to complete the evaluation questionnaire.


Cloakroom / Luggage

A cloakroom is available and is at the participant’s disposal during congress hours. Please be sure to collect all personal belongings at the end of the day.

Currency

The national currency in Gothenburg is the Swedish Crown (SEK).


Disclosure links to industry

All faculty members are requested to disclose to the audience any links with the industry related to the topic of their lecture at the beginning of their presentation(s) e.g. if a faculty member is a member of the advisory board or has a consulting agreement with a specific company.


Electricity

The electrical supply in Gothenburg is 230 Volts and the frequency is 50Hz and the socket are EU-standard. If travelling from countries outside of EU please check if you need an adapter.


Emergency and First Aid

In case of an emergency call 112 for police, fire brigade and ambulance service. In case of an emergency in the congress centre contact a security guard immediately.


Exhibition

A technical exhibition will be held jointly with the UROonco meeting. The exhibition will be open to all technical equipment manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies and scientific publishers. This is a unique opportunity for your company to enhance your corporate visibility among the global urological community, as well as to promote your products and activities to the congress delegates.  The exhibition space will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests and Children

In compliance with the Pharma Codes, it is not allowed for you to register accompanying guests (including children). Any guests you may have are not allowed to access this event. In addition, the EAU is unfortunately unable to offer children’s day-care facilities at its events. If you have any special requirements due to impaired mobility, medical needs or due to the fact you are nursing please let the organisation know in advance.


Hotel accommodation

Gothia Towers is the congress in-house hotel. In this hotel, you can enjoy first-class accommodation right at the centre of events. The Scandinavium arena hosts multiple shows, music and sports events throughout the year and lies just around the corner. Across the street is the amusement park Liseberg, perfect for families. Furthermore, you’ll find the city’s grand boulevard, Avenyn, within a 5-minute walk.


Insurance

Participants are strongly recommended to arrange their own personal insurance. The organisers will not bear any responsibility for any personal damage.


Language

All presentations will be conducted in English only. No translations will be provided.


Lost and Found

Found items should be handed in at the registration desk. If you lose or find something, please report to this desk for assistance.


Mobile Phones

During all sessions, please switch your phone to silent and turn off the flash when taking pictures.


Networking

You can use the UORonco23 event app to get in touch with other (online) delegates. This feature is off by default, you can turn it on by logging in to the app with your MyEAU credentials through the “My Profile” menu in the top right corner.

No-smoking Policy

Smoking is not allowed throughout the entire venue, including all exhibition areas, session rooms, registration and catering areas. All participants are kindly requested to respect the no-smoking policy, which also applies to e-cigarettes.


Passport and Visa

For participants from EU countries, a national identity card is sufficient to enter Gothenburg. For citizens of other countries, a valid passport is required, and for some countries, a visa is required. Should you have any doubt about the need of an entry visa, please contact the Swedish Embassy or Swedish Consulate in your own country.


Photography and Filming

The UROonco organisers will be taking photos and doing some filming between sessions. If you would prefer not to be filmed or photographed, please let us know by sending an e-mail to: press@uroweb.org


Press

Journalists can obtain free registrations to the meeting. All media operators must show their credentials (press card dated 2022/2023 and original assignment letter). More information will be available soon.


Resource Centre and webcasting of presentations & sessions

Presentations and sessions will be webcasted under the condition that the speakers have given their approval. As a meeting delegate, you can access the UROonco23 scientific content after the meeting via the UROonco23 Resource Centre using your MyEAU credentials. The content in the Resource Centre will be available up to 3 years after the meeting, but is not accredited.

We are using social media at the meeting to encourage open discussions on urology science and your meeting experiences. UROonco meeting faculty, opinion leaders, speakers, delegates and media share their ideas, commentary and photos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Speaker Service Centre (SSC)

All presentations should be uploaded via the faculty website or handed in at the Speaker Service Centre at least three hours prior to the start of the session.
